PAK Scholarships

Professional Advancement for Kids Scholarships

PAK Scholarships for anyone working in a professional capacity with children under age 6 (who have not entered Kindergarten) are now available! Beginning July 1, 2012 $2,500 is available, with another $2,500 available January 1, 2013. PAK Scholarships are up to $300 per person, with those who received a PAK Scholarship in the previous funding year ineligible for the current funding year.

PAK scholarships are given to individuals who work in a professional capacity with children 0 to 5 who have not yet entered Kindergarten. Each year, the Commission allocates $5,000 for these scholarships which are awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis throughout the year (download application below).

For Fiscal Year 2011/12 we allocated funding to 13 individuals working with over 250 children ages 0 to 5 in Nevada County.

To apply, submit the application below to our office any time after July 1. Decisions will be made on an on-going basis.
