Grantees & Contractors
First 5 Nevada County funds projects that fall under four main focus areas of our Strategic Plan. In making funding decisions, First 5 Nevada County considers best practices, demonstrated effectiveness, demonstrated need, organizational capacity, and accountability. Evaluation is an important part of all of our funding processes.
- Mini-grant proposals are for amounts up to $3,000. They are accepted from community partners twice yearly, for decision at April and October Commission meetings, and may target any Strategic Plan Goal, although certain Funding Policies apply.
- Professional Advancement for Kids (PAK) Scholarship offers up to $500 to pay for education and/or training for public or private professionals who work with babies and young children.
